Na hranici České republiky s Německem, na hranici spojující Národní park Šumava s Národním parkem Bavorský les, tluče srdce evropské divočiny.

Toto Divoké srdce Evropy je rozsáhlým ostrovem přírody uprostřed kulturní krajiny střední Evropy. Horské smrkové a smíšené lesy ve všech stádiích vývoje, rašeliniště a voňavé louky zde tvoří jedinečnou mozaiku biotopů, které jsou domovem mnoha vzácných a ohrožených druhů. Rys se tu toulá otevřenými lesy a bažinami, puštík bělavý hnízdí v dutinách starých stromů rozlámaných větrem a brzkými rány se ozývá tok tetřevů.

Po svých předcích jsme zdědili fascinující domov, kde žijeme, pracujeme, poznáváme, nacházíme duševní klid i inspiraci a který sdílíme se svými sousedy. Naší morální a etickou povinností je zodpovědně chránit a rozvíjet evropské přírodní a kulturní dědictví. Evropská krajina je v drtivé převaze krajinou kulturní, krajinou přeměněnou člověkem. Nechme proto působit přírodní síly všude tam, kde to stávající stav umožňuje.

Abychom zachovali tento jedinečný kus evropské přírody dalším generacím, navrhujeme podle mezinárodních kritérií vyhlášení prvního přeshraničního území středoevropské divoké přírody – Divoké srdce Evropy. To má velký potenciál být plnohodnotnou součástí světové sítě divoké přírody.

Evropským a národním představitelům nabízíme pomoc a podporu při přípravě vyhlášení přeshraničního území Divoké srdce Evropy.

Věříme, že v tlukoucím Divokém srdci Evropy lidé více poznají sami sebe.

The heart of European wild nature is beating on the border between the Czech Republic and Germany, sharing by the Šumava National Park and the Bavarian Forest National Park.

This Europe´s Wild Heart is a large island of wild nature nested in the middle of cultural Central European landscape. Mountain spruce and mixed forests in all life stages, together with peat bogs and scented meadows create the unique mosaic of biotopes, which host many rare and endangered creatures. The lynx is roaming through the open forests and bog lands, the Ural Owl breeds on tree skeletons, broken by the wind, and capercaillie matting call resound in dark mornings.

We inherited this fascinating homeland from our ancestors to live, to work, to learn, to find spiritual silence and inspiration, and to share it with all our neighbours. Responsible preservation and development of our European natural and cultural heritage are our moral and ethical duty. Let the natural powers acting everywhere, where the present stage allows that.

To preserve this unique piece of European nature for next generations we call to establish the first transboundary Central European Wilderness Area – Europe´s Wild Heart according to international criteria. Europe´s Wild Heart has a high potential to be a valuable member of global wilderness areas network.

We are ready to help and support the European and national authorities in preparation of essential documents for declaration of the first Central European Wilderness Area – Europe´s Wild Heart.

We believe that people will come to understand themselves in the beating Europe´s Wild Heart.

An der Grenze der Tschechischen Republik mit Deutschland, an der Grenze, die die Nationalparke Šumava Bayerischer Wald verbindet, schlägt das Herz der europäischen Wildnis.

Dieses Wilde Herz Europas ist eine weitläufige Insel der Natur inmitten der Kulturlandschaft des Mitteleuropas. Bergfichtenwälder und Mischwälder in allen Entwicklungsstadien, Hochmoore und duftende Wiesen bilden hier ein einzigartiges Mosaik der Biotope, die einen Lebensraum für viele seltene und gefährdete Arten bilden. Der Luchs streift hier durch offene Wälder und Moore, Habichtskauz nistet in den vom Wind zerbrochenen Bäumen und früh morgens klingt der Balz des Auerhuhns.

Wir haben von unseren Vorfahren eine faszinierende Heimat geerbt, in der wir leben, arbeiten, Ruhe für unseren Geist und Inspiration finden und die wir zugleich mit unseren Nachbarn teilen. Es ist unsere moralische und ethische Pflicht, das europäische natürliche und kulturelle Erbe verantwortlich zu schützen und zu entwickeln. Europäische Landschaft ist krass überwiegend eine kulturelle Landschaft, eine durch den Menschen veränderte Landschaft. Lassen wir deshalb die Naturkräfte überall dort wirken, wo es bestehende Situation ermöglicht.

Um diesen einzigartigen Teil der europäischen Natur für nächste Generationen bewahren zu können, schlagen wir, entsprechend den internationalen Kriterien eine Errichtung von grenzüberschreitendem Gebiet der mitteleuropäischen wilden Natur – Das Wilde Herz Europas vor. Es hat ein großes Potenzial ein vollwertiger Bestandteil des weltweiten Netzes von wilder Natur zu sein.

Den europäischen und nationalen Entscheidungsträgern bieten wir Hilfe und Unterstützung bei der Vorbereitung der Errichtung des grenzüberschreitenden Gebiets Das Wilde Herz Europas.

Wir glauben, dass im schlagenden Wilden Herzen Europas die Menschen sich selber besser kennenlernen.
